Check out who is speaking at Portland Community College Sylvania tomorrow!
Oh hey gurl hey!

Fierce love in reclaimed bodies with ganas in the veins and dulce pequeno revolucion on the tongue.
Drinking sweet tea of memories and licking beads of promise off of lovers necks.
Forging iron links of chosen family while wearing vintage rituals and heirlooms of the past.
Planting a garden of sunset cenas and too late goose flesh porch songs. Digging deep to bury the eyes of broken promises for panged heart fruit in the morning.
Fierce love in reclaimed bodies

My boo gave me a pelon pelo rico!!! He was all shy about it too like maybe I was going to think it was childish. Hell no! Pass that tamarindo my way. I’ve savoring it in my office. I like that I am all houndstooth profesh, with my dulce.
Also, thanks Lane Bryant for giving me a killer rack today:)
Some NYE photos I’ve been meaning to post. It was a pleasure getting to spend the evening with these handsome men (top photos) and all the other wonderful people that came and celebrated.
Felt really pretty that night; makes me want to wear gold belts everyday.
Shameless plug!
My other half is back! If you want to follow my platonic life partner/best friend then follow his new tumblr: transawkward.tumble.com
He’s a caustic, trans, xicano, joto/queer, glittery, activist, gay, vegetarian, hipster dude, living the portland life.
Anytime I refer to Alex or my PLP, it’s this chulo cabron.
Today concluded the 11th Annual Oregon Students of Color Conference.
This was my third year in attendance and the second year a good friend and I presented a workshop we developed that focuses on the experiences of being multiracial.
We’ve presented the workshop at four different conferences…
My friend wrote this moving piece. I went to her workshop last year and it was a powerful experience of looking at how we identify when we are expected to live such codified lives in the sense of racial/ethnic/cultural identity. Hat tip to you V:)
I requested to post the following in this space to maintain anonymity and I’d like to thank the mods of this space for allowing me to do so. I also want to acknowledge that this is a first draft and that changes may be made. I would also like to thank those who helped me edit this piece and…
This is crucial piece regarding OWS and what needs to happen to make this movement be inclusive and relevant. As one of the mods of fatpoc, I am proud that this is being presented here, as a means of making sure all bodies, all people are included in the work ahead of all of us. As fat people of color, as a queer person of color and size personally, we all know how hard it is to be seen and not ignored, or how hard it is to be allowed agency and validity in our lives and in greater movements and work such as this. Thanks to the author for bringing these issues into inspection and offering specifics on how this work can begin/continue.
Sometimes I need reminders that I am ok. I love my body and as hard as this week as been, I have to remember that I’m just as delish (lol) in a bikini as any other mujer out there. Bad web camera withstanding.
Look at this hottie.
[ Image Description: Poor webcam image. Fat fair femme xicana woman in a bikini—turquoise top and purple bottom, stands in front of back lit sliding glass doors with curtains. She has her hand on her left hip with a bemused/IDGAF expression, dark long brown hair piled high on her head, with big brown glasses and long oval earrings.]
Mira, it’s moi! *Note to self, get better web camera or better yet a partner to take these pictures.
